I got a gorgeous piece of actinolite in quartz a while back, and I finally decided on a good way to show it off. This stone is similar to rutilated quartz, but the inclusions are actinolite (which is a type of jade) rather than titanium. Although I'm holding the stone in a standard way, this is definitely a step away from my typical style. The stone is quite small, so I could get away with making such a large circle around it.
I used gold filled square and half round wire for the wrapping. I've never wrapped a 2x2 section of square wire like I use in the outer circle, but it worked pretty well and actually appeared to be almost round.
