Olive Jade Pendant by innerdiameter Olive Jade Pendant by innerdiameter
This pendant has a nice looking olive jade as its focus. The wire around it is an antiqued brass, and I played around with the shape of the setting some. I also added a small flourish that looks like a gust of wind. The setting is similar to the first style of wire wrapping that I learned, all those years ago. (Actually, just under two years!)

I LOVE the color of this Olive Jade Pendant. I checked your etsy shop, and I don't see it there. By any chance (because it never hurts to just ask rather than to assume) do you still make these Olive Jade Pendants?

This particular pendant sold a while ago, unfortunately. I am pretty sure I still have some olive jade in my collection. If I do, you could certainly commission a pendant!
I will try to remember to look tonight after work.

Please tell me if you do have some olive jades left. I just may make a commission in the near future.

Sorry for the slow response! I checked and I have a few different sizes of olive jade stones in stock, so I could make a commission piece if you are interested :)

No problem. I'm slow as well:)

Hmm don't make a commission quite yet. I haven't lost interest (I love the color combo of the Olive Jade and copper), but it might be a little while before I purchase something as beautiful as your jewelry :D

:+fav: A very lovely piece, and an excellent photo of it.
I really like the alternating colors of wire around it and your seemingly signature "gust of wind" sweep. Thank you.

Thanks :) The flourish on the top came together really cleanly on this piece. Sometimes I try it and there's something that's slightly off that unbalances the entire piece.

It's gorgeous! The simplicity of the setting and the flourish brings out the beauty of the stone :D

Practice is everything, I know :D But the issue is the wire I have. It has too much tnsion, so it doesn't stay with a shape, it's hard to work with it for that kind of wraps (I tried it with your wonderful tutorial ;)) It only worked for tumbled stones, not for cabochons
I guess I need copper or silver ^^

Wire quality makes a tremendous difference! I think brass is the best inexpensive wire for this sort of wrapping. (Gold filled wire is the best overall - it has a brass core, and it's a wee bit more pricey :P )

I know! But I don't have the money to buy silver >_< I have brass, but it's tense too... oh well, guess I'll have to experiment with beads then :D
