Psilomelane Pendant In Silver

This is a piece I made for my cousin's graduation. The stone is "solomoline", which I can't really find much information about.
Edit: *magpie-poet figured out the actual spelling - "psilomelane". Wikipedia knows that spelling too
The silvery bands in the stone come from manganese metal, and evidently these sorts of stones are very difficult to cut/polish.

I wrapped the stone with argentium silver wire, which is a tarnish-resistant type of silver. I picked a simple design for the stone because the silver in the stone is already pretty wild, and my cousin has a kinda formal but kinda crazy personality.
